A
lack of communication skills can have an adverse impact
not only on his or her personal health but also on the
'health' of the team in various types of organizations.
We suggest team management with mission, presentation,
and scheduling (MPS). We implement MPS teaching methodology
and personnel & team scales that Jahng has published
in his book (JISHA, 2003). We present the educational
environment as like four virtual companies dealing the
health related theme. Participants are from various
facilities around Kitakyushu Science Park with different
specialities and backgrounds. They can learn about leadership
and team management through lectures. Also they can
practice what they have learned in each virtual company.
Jahng and experts from outside the university, including
investors and management consultants, consult each company
about their projects and support with a view to developing
them into businesses. |

This
package is for participants who aim to lead organizations
in the future using their high level expertise. In the
Health Resource Management Laboratory, they learn how
to deal with internal (teammates) and external customer.
They experience various positions like a secretary,
a manager, and even a president. Also they face to all
kinds of business aspects including planning, handing
over, and recruiting. As our motto "tough but fun" indicates,
the experience also includes mistakes and failures.
This is a new approach that overcomes the limitations
of tour-like internships and desktop-limited case studies.
We expect the program presents a unique opportunity
to learn how to acquire, apply and share knowledge. |
