| In
this program, students use their five senses to become
aware of the complex, ambiguous world that surrounds
us in urban environments and learn how spatial images
are made. Students begin by gaining a firm grasp of
pioneering research and various basic theories on spatial
image recognition and then conduct fieldwork in the
city and compile their findings in a final report. There
are some aspects that can only be approached through
actual physical exposure. We hope that engineering students
will seize this chance to leave the laboratory and experience
the real world, discovering the problems and issues
that exist in the field and the areas in which technology
can be applied. We welcome anyone who wishes to experience
and explore the relationship between people and their
environment and expect it will provide glimpses of a
new vision for future theoretical and fundamental research. |
