These include integrated circuits, control, sensing, nano-systems, computer systems, machine learning, cognitive and behavioral science, neuroscience, brain-computer interfaces, and collaborative learning with Japanese students.<br \/>\nPlease note that <strong style=\"color: #ff0000;\">the course is not strictly limited to \u201cassistive\u201d robotics.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h3>Application Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>As outlined in the flyer below, <strong style=\"color: #ff0000;\">applicants must meet certain criteria for grade coefficients and language proficiency:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Grade Coefficient<\/strong>: Grades must be converted to the evaluation method used by MEXT.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Language Proficiency<\/strong>: In addition to scores for reading and listening, scores for speaking and writing are required.\n<ul>\n<li>If you cannot complete the English language proficiency test in time, you may submit a certificate from your home university confirming that you have taken classes in English or a certificate from the Duolingo English Test.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h3>Application Procedure<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Contact a Potential Supervisor<\/strong>: If you are interested in this scholarship program, contact your potential supervisor as soon as possible to gain their likely acceptance. If you do not have a specific supervisor in mind, visit the Department of Human Intelligence Systems website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brain.kyutech.ac.jp\/index_e.html\">Dept. Human Intelligence Systems (kyutech.ac.jp)<\/a> for more information.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Develop a Research Plan<\/strong>: After receiving potential approval, create your research plan and discuss it with your supervisor<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit Application Forms<\/strong>: Use the forms available at the bottom of this page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h3>Deadlines and Selection Process<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">application deadline<\/span><\/strong> has been extended to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>December 15, 2025<\/strong><\/span>.
