SCOPE

Theta, gamma, beta, alpha waves are observed in our brain. The waves are induced by the activation and synchronisation of the population of neurons. These rhythms and waves can be observed when the animal is into a state. According to the experiments of rats, when the rats doing the memory task, theta wave is induced in hippocampus. The reslut suggests that the theta wave makes the brain become more sensitive to the input and the brain can meorise the input easily. From the slice experiment, we make sure that when theta was was induced, LTP, one type of synaptic plasticity was facilitated. In our lab, we have focus on the neuronal waves, osillaton and rhythm and will clarify the role of them in the information processing of the brain.
